I have finally painted the shed.  As I said in my End of Month post I have been dithering about what colour to paint it for a year or more.  The first plan was black with orange accents but as time progressed I realised that this would make the shed stand out like a sore thumb, not really what I wanted.  I then settled on a green with paler green accents.  Then when I was writing the post and looking at the photos I decided that actually I quite liked the colour the shed was. Summer is waning, and since I am a die hard autumnal girl, I’d usually be very excited by now. But I have to be honest — this lush and vibrant pallet vertical garden is making me want to stay in summer for another month or two. There have been many pallet projects and many vertical garden projects, but none combine the two elements as well as this tutorial developed by Fern Richardson of Life on the Balcony and recreated by Steph of the local spoon. Now I get it.  When harvest time comes, you need somewhere to dry all of your produce and store it for the winter. If taken care of properly, you could be enjoying garden fresh carrots and potatoes all winter long!
